Facts About Instant Ramen

3 out of 10 FACTS about Instant Ramen / Noodles

#1 Fact The first instant ramen was considered a luxury item in supermarkets.

Wow.. Nice isn't it.

Although today it’s considered a college staple and something you eat if you’re broke, instant ramen used to be expensive in Japan. Momofuku Ando, the creator of Nissin ramen products, invented Chicken Ramen, an instant snack that could be eaten easily and anywhere in 1958, when he noticed food was scarce after World War II. But when it arrived on Japanese supermarket shelves, it was seen as a very expensive product since fresh udon noodles sold for one-sixth the cost of Chicken Ramen.

#2 Fact. It’s the best-selling item at the Rikers Island jail.

A jail, really??

The commissary at Rikers Island in New York needs to always make sure it is stocked up on Cup Noodles. It sells for 35 cents and, according to the New York post, it’s the most popular food item sold. Guards provide the people being held at Rikers with hot water to eat the beloved noodles. And sometimes, inmates discard the noodles and use the intense seasoning packets to flavor the bland cafeteria food.

#3 Fact. China eats instant ramen more than any other country.

Not a surprise, because in Malaysia Chinese demand instant noodles more than other races.

China’s global demand for instant noodles is the highest, according to the World Instant Noodle Association  (yes, that’s a real thing). In 2013, China consumed more than 46 billion packets of ramen. Tong-Yi Instant Noodles, a popular Chinese brand, is sold almost everywhere, from Walmart to street stalls.

Saya dan Maggi Sajian Kebahagiaan - Maggi Letup Kari Cili api

Maggi Letup Kari Cili Api

I'm proud of myself because I still keep this pic, because this pic is my first Maggi eaten back when I am first registered at Centre for Foundation Studies of International Islamic University Malaysia (CFSIIUM). Its like a year and a half ago from today. First week of my Taaruf Session (knowing the university session).

If you want to enroll to this university you may refer to these links :
CFSIIUM (for foundation) & IIUM (for degrees, master degrees and so on)

So, into my main posts ------------------ Maggi Letup Kari Cili Api.. Nama dah Gempak en..

As you can see, the packet, filled with fire, redness and chillies.. Looks like very spicy...

There even challenge for this, look at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AxaH_qtBRM

But in fact, not so spicy, my other friends said that they were soo spicy.. But to me, NO!!
Maybe my taste buds is fine with spicy things.

Ok, I think and bet the main objective of this products is spiciness, not the taste.. Because the taste is just like other curry soup.. Plain curry soup.

I think this is my first time mentioning Maggi products here. For whatever reasons, I really love Maggi products. Because their products are from Malaysia and suitable for Malaysians only.

As for this Maggi Kari Letup, I'm satisfy with it, no complain about their noodles. To be honest, you need to improve the taste of the soup, don't make it so plain. Make  it something different.. Different than the others.

Mix, Match, MArriage #2

INSTANT NOODLES MARRIAGE #2

This marriage is between Mamee Classic Asam Laksa & Ruski Tom Yam Flavor <3

I had post my comments regarding Mamee Classic. The taste.. Hmm, not so good. So, I mix it with Ruski Tom Yam Flavor. I have to admit, it is so good. The sourness, spiciness level are so damn good. Just nice.

But the thing is, the tom yam flavor is dominating the whole soup after being mixed together . Not a single taste of asam laksa. Maybe a little. MAYBE...

How about the noodles??
Most of Mamee products is soft and thin noodles. So, they're well-matched with Ruski's noodles. They're both matched together. Perfecto~~ Not so thick, not so thin, chewy and easy to slurp them all down my throat.

MIX & MATCH is my favorite kind of eating style~~ Nyumm, Nyumm..

SAJI, SAJIMEE SOTO ASLI

1st thing to do is to tilt your head to the right
2nd, put your head closer to your PC, tablet, or whatever electronic devices you are using

The reason is because, you see the white liquid, its not milk.. Its soup + white egg.. I took out its yolk.

OK, this instant noodles is made by SAJI SDN BHD(http://www.feldadsaji.com.my/), made in MALAYSIA.

The flavour : Soto Asli / Original Soto.. NYUMMYYY

Here, I want to compare this noodles with Mi Sedap Soto Flavour.

  1. Soup : For youngster or teenagers, Mi Sedap Soto is better than Saji Soto. Why? Because Mi Sedap Soto's soup, it contains lime. Frankly speaking, its deliciousness, suits for youngster's tongue. But here's the thing, the taste of soto is kinda low compared to Saji Soto's soup. Its taste is same like soto that sold at any other stall. My parents like them but I don't like Saji Soto because of the spices and herbs that is inside the soup.
  2. Noodles : Hmm, its kinda hard to tell the difference. But for me, all Mi Sedap noodles are the best. Because they're mixed with tartrazine. (Tartrazine is a synthetic lemon yellow azo dye). Some said, tartrazine is not good for health, some said its good. However, we Malaysian don't care about that because we have our knowledgeable parents. They know how to counter and cure the effect of what we eat.. It's simple.
MATTT!! MAKAN SAYUR TU,MAHAL SAYUR TU..
MAT.. JANGAN LARI.. MAKAN UBAT NI :D

p/s : If you already bought Saji Soto Asli, don't mix them with eggs. Bad choice. Mix them with something else, maybe vegetables, fishballs, begedil, meatballs.. Don't forget to put some NASI IMPIT.
