      So now, I'm introducing to all of you new brand of instant noodles - Mi Sedaap.. This brand is very famous in Malaysia and also Indonesia.. 

       The most famous product of Mi Sedaap is their MI GORENG ASLI (ORIGINAL FRIED NOODLES FLAVOR).  Later I will post about this product :D

Soto - One of my favorite food. It is one of the traditional Indonesian soup. Nyummy.

This 'Instant Soto' is very very delicious in every way

1. The soup : very delicious, with the spiciness level, not too high, not too low, the taste of soto is there but quite different from the original, because the taste of the soup is sour-y. Maybe because of the lime added into the spices. But that's okay, I like spicy and sour things. Nyum2.
2. The noodles : This noodles is far beyond greater than Vit's Toink2 Noodles. No process-y taste. And also, this noodles is very soft, easy to chew or you just sluuurppp through your throat.
3. The taste of soup and noodles : It's perfectly in sync. No doubt! Perfect combination. With the sour-y taste, spiciness level & soto taste. All in one byte.

If you want to add-on to the soup, try ahead.. It goes better with some sliced & diced meat, some rice cubes maybe, anchovies, sliced chicken meat, beansprout, and crushed groundnuts.. Nyummy.

But sadly, I don't have those add-on in my house, so I put some fish balls & eggs.. Student style :D

Egg++ not C++ with Vit's Curry Toink-Toink

      Curry + Egg = Awesome Taste.. Do you know why? 

Most of instant curry products are basic curry.. This is what I call, basic soup. Only one taste of curry soup per packet. And I have tasted many brands of instant curry, they all taste quite the same. So as I want to try new style to eat (student style), so I mix the curry with egg... 

WOW!! The taste is so incredible.  

Why? Because the instant curry instantly change to instant creamy curry. The curry become so thick and creamy. From BASIC to ADVANCE. From ZERO to TELO. 

Daebak!!

        But this time I've made the wrong choice.. The curry was already creamy. But then, I mix it with egg. So it became double creamy.. Uggghhhh.. I feel so nausea that time. Very nausea.. I feel like to throw up, plus with the taste of the noodles. 

p/s : don't mix Vit's Curry Toink-Toink with egg.. Bad choice!!

THE MARRIAGE OF TOMYAM AND SEAFOOD

As you can see from the picture above, it is the combination of two different flavor of instant noodles.. Kinda weird, but it will vary the taste.. In Malaysia, it's called "Megi Kawen".

     It is not so popular method to vary the taste of the noodles because the result of two different flavors might spoil the taste. But for this case, I chose the right flavors to be married.. Both of them have the same species-seafood. 

     Yeah, one of them is already has the seafood and the tomyam will bring up the seafood taste.. VOILAA.. The taste is so, so, soooo. Damn, it's hard to describe, but I can just say it is so delicious, tasty and very seafood-y..

     But, the taste of the noodles will ruin your mood to try the NEW taste of soup. YUCK!! I still can't hold on to the taste of the noodles, although I have taste them many times.. 

p/s : if you want to combine, try combine with same species.. Or else, you will suffer.

note : As a student, I always try new things.. :D

As I mentioned before, Vit's noodles is quite dissapointing.. ~(-.-!~(

So this time, I tried to filter the noodles with hot water 4 times to remove the process-y taste.. But still, the taste... Urrrghhhh.. Why? Why? Vit's, why the process-y taste still there? What do you put in the noodles.. 

But, you know what, although your noodles has the weird taste, but still, your soup is quite delicious.. Especially this curry soup. So KAW..

I think your curry soup is better than Maggi curry soup.. Because, your curry filled with wonderful taste of curry and seafood-y.. Da best!                But the spiciness, Maggi curry is better.

MAMEE CLASSIC SERIES - ASAM LAKSA

MAMEE CLASSICS SERIES

Mamee Classic Asam Laksa Flavour.. As you can see the name, classic. So I thought the taste will be classic. But, it did not work that way. The taste of asam laksa is so damn weird. It's like when you're cooking asam laksa, and you put a pinch of asam. Can you imagine how the taste? Not even like asam laksa. At first, I thought I over put the water, but it's not.. The taste still the same. No taste of asam laksa..

MAMEE DOUBLE-DECKER, you better change the name of this instant noodle to TASTE-LESS ASAM LAKSA.. Or stop producing this product. It's a shame, your other products were so impressive and delicious. But this!! I don't know what to say..

Hey, but not all are bad about this product. The noodles are so soft. Easy to chew.. But, it's true, your other noodles were soft and does not taste soooooo 'process-y'.

But still, when I ate this asam laksa classic, I only enjoyed the goodness of the noodles, but not the soup..

IMPROVE THIS PLEASE!!

p/s : there are 3 things to check the goodness about all instant noodles

1.  the noodles
2.  the soup    
3.  the taste of both of them in a single bite

Wuhuuuuu, wait!!.. No wonder the soup is so thick. There's a roast chicken in my soup. But it say seafood.. I wonder.. Tchh. Whatever, btw, the soup is quite delicious.. There's a tiny taste of prawn though, but the spiciness taste is quite high.. As you all know, seafood is quite mild and the taste full of seafood-y, but this 'seafood' is quite spicy and the taste of seafood-y is low.. The spiciness level is okay for the Asian but the Seafood-y taste level is soooo not Seafood-y.. The taste more like "an Asian who love spicy but trying to cook seafood although he or she never cooks before". How should I describe it. The taste, aroma, thickness are there but still not satisfied my seafood level.. 

Not to say, the taste of the noodles.. Still the same.. I hope Vit's The Noodle Expert since 1975 can improve the taste of the noodles..

Oh wait! 1975, that's our independence year.. Yippeee.. Horray :D

p/s : plain instant noodles is the best noodle.. The way of students and MEN.. :D

Wheat Flour, Palm Oil, Salt, Permitted Food Conditioner (E466, E451, E500, E501), Added Nutrient (E341).

Salt, Tom Yam Seasoning, Permitted Food Enhancer (E621), Sugar Parsley, Contains Wheat (Gluten).

If you allergic to Tom Yam and anything stated above don't eat it.. Or you will get rabies.. Hahaha, just kidding :p.

This savory blend of Tom Yum spices with springy noodles is an exotic taste made local! It is a definite satisfaction to the last drop of sour and spicy soup!

As you can see, it's say springy noodle. Yeah, the noodles are so springy even after they were  boiled. Do you know what it means? It means the noodle is full of flour.. Packed with flour. It is amazing. You can chew them just like you chew the  rice. You can feel the spongy, juicy, chewy & nyummy.. 

Every processed food, of course there are some imperfect. Yup, there is one. The noodle taste is so PROCESSY. I don't now how to describe, but I just can say that the noodles' taste are not so delicious. Maybe because they put some additional flavor to the noodles.. Maybe.. I don't know.

And there's the imperfect.. Now is about the taste of the soup.. Tom Yam, as you know they from Thailand. If you want to taste the original taste of the Tom Yam, don't waste your money to travel around to Thailand. You can just eat this Tom Yam Noodle. So delicious. Although it is not exactly the same, but the taste beats other instant noodle.. (FOR NOW).

And as you can see, this blog is about Instant Food. I will comment about "Instant Food" that available in Malaysia.. Well of course, I live in Malaysia. Come and visit Malaysia.
